The Somers-Saint Luke’s Food Pantry is supported through the largesse of many groups and individuals from town. Funds from the Northeast Westchester Rotary Club, the Knights of Columbus, and the Somers Women’s Club keep the pantry well-stocked and The Somers Volunteer Fire Department conducts weekly food drives for the pantry.
Acme and Stop & Shop kindly provide canned and packaged goods, frozen meats, and cakes, and Panera bread is here every Friday with loads of delicious bread for our visitors. The Lions Club has done tremendous monetary fundraising and outreach, and the Tuskers Booster Club organized an incredible food drive to help benefit the increased need due to the COVID situation we are facing. The Soup Ninja and Il Forno have been donating fresh soup and hot pizza and Lincoln hall will begin providing fresh produce weekly from their gardens. The Somers Girl Scouts also contribute fresh produce from their garden. In addition, many, many individuals have given unselfishly to ensure our ministry remains vital and active.
The Pantry is open every Friday from 1:30-3:00pm. The Pantry will also be open on the first Saturday of the month from 10:00-12:00pm October 3rd, November 7th, and December 5th. Call 914-277-3122 for further info.
*Due to the ongoing COVID situation we have reorganized the pantry to provide contactless drive through services*
